Sovereign projects of development institutions in the Russian Federation
International financial institutions (IFIs) have substantial financial resources that enable them to finance socially important long-term projects at relatively low interest rates, and hold a considerable experience in terms of technical and methodological project implementation. Four sovereign projects are currently being implemented in the Russian Federation with the borrowed funds from the IFIs.
The Project was launched in 2018 with the use of loan funds provided by the New Development Bank. The purpose of the Project is to enhance judicial efficiency and improve judicial protection of rights and legitimate interests of citizens and organizations by infrastructure development and installation and application of modern information technologies. The Project Executors are the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation (for the Project components 1 and 3) and the Federal Bailiffs Service (for the Project component 2).
The goal of the Project is the development of tourism infrastructure to strengthen the socio-economic growth and contribute to the sustainable development of nine small historic settlements through the integrated growth of selected territories and infrastructure, preservation and use of cultural heritage. The implementation of the Project will promote the development of culture, tourism, education in the selected cities. It will also increase investments and create favorable living conditions in historic settlements. Implementation period: 2019 - 2025. The Project is implemented with the use of loan funds provided by the New Development Bank. The Project Executor is the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.
The Project is an extension to the «Small Historic Cities Development Project». It has similar goals and is being implemented in the historical settlements additionally selected on a competitive basis. Implementation period: 2019 - 2025. The Project is implemented with the use of loan funds provided by the New Development Bank. The Project Executor is the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.
The goal of the Project is to boost the quality and reliability of water supply and sanitation services, to improve the environmental situation and to minimize the environmental damage. Implementation period: 2019 – 2025. The Project is implemented with the use of loan funds provided by the New Development Bank. The Project Executor is the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Utilities of the Russian Federation.
